All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026

All In, the theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026, is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take actions that create change.

Reconciliation Australia CEO Karen Mundine reminded Australians that achieving reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights is not a passive activity.

‘Reconciliation isn’t the responsibility of First Nations peoples alone. ‘We have carried the weight of championing, explaining, and acting for far too long. ‘The work that remains, requires all of us to join the reconciliation team,’ she said. ‘This call is not about guilt or shame but about the responsibility and reciprocity of being Australian. ‘Reconciliation will not happen by itself; we must be all in for reconciliation. ‘In 2026, we need more than goodwill and spectators cheering from the sideline. ‘We need to take actions that create a better society,’ she said.

National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week – 27 May to 3 June every year – is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to recommit ourselves to reconciliation and the fight for First Nations justice in Australia.

The dates for NRW commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
